Privacy
Your data, plainly
DIY-SIM shows designs; it does not track you. The only personal data we keep is your email address, and only if you subscribe.

Who is responsible
The controller of the personal data described here is Stoyan Pamukchiev, Sofia, Bulgaria, who runs DIY-SIM (diy-sim.com), the website of the 57UYO workshop, as a private individual. Contact for anything about your data: info@diy-sim.com. A postal address for formal requests is available on request by email.
In short
- No cookies on the public website, and no analytics, advertising or tracking.
- No accounts for visitors: you never log in.
- If you subscribe to new-design emails, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
- Like every website, our host processes technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages.
Visiting the website
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), with its servers and database in Frankfurt (EU) and a global network that delivers pages and images. To deliver a page, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and keeps short-lived server logs for security and troubleshooting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Design file downloads are counted per design, without storing anything about who downloaded.
Fonts, images, the 3D viewer and parts lists are served from our own domain; your browser does not contact Google or other services to show them.
Videos and links to other services
Videos are shown as a preview image served by us. Only when you press play does your browser load the video from YouTube (Google), using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); from then on Google's privacy policy applies.
Buttons to Patreon, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, GitHub and shops for parts are ordinary links: nothing is sent to those services until you click, and then their own privacy policies apply. Purchases and memberships happen on Patreon, which processes your payment and account data as its own controller.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its processing, and for a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to the emails at any time, without affecting earlier sending. Write to info@diy-sim.com; we answer within one month.
You may also complain to a data protection authority, in Bulgaria the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg), or the authority where you live.
Security and changes
The site runs over HTTPS; the editing area is only for the site's editors. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too; for a material change affecting subscribers we will tell them by email.
